Facilities and activities
We offer care and support
The majority of our residents are approved for permanent residential care.
Permanent care offers dedicated care support with daily activities, mobility equipment, medication assistance, all meals, personal care items, continence management and assistance with access to other health services.
Residential respite care, often referred to as short-term care, allows the primary carer to take a much-needed break or to assist when extra care is needed following a hospital stay or illness. Respite care at Kirkbrae can be arranged by contacting our friendly team. Commonwealth funding for respite services is available to eligible persons for up to 63 days each financial year.
Palliative carePalliative care requires special attention and thought. We have experienced and dedicated staff that are trained to look after residents and their and their families at this emotional time. Our Pastoral Care team are specially trained to provide the highest level of comfort, support and care for residents nearing the end of life.
Dementia supportAt Kirkbrae, we don’t have a specific dementia-secure wing. We do have many residents with forms of dementia who live happily in our supportive environment with dignity and respect.
Aged care placement with room to choose
Our residential aged care accommodation at Kirkbrae has four interconnected wings, all named by the inspiration of nature and our picturesque surrounds. Staff and residents often say our home is a sanctuary for seniors wanting to live within the leafy suburb of Kilsyth.
Within our aged care home, there is bound to be an option to suit most needs.
The best way to see the different room options and feel the atmosphere is to book a tour. Our friendly team will be delighted to show around.
