Kirkbrae has been established since the 1960s and we understand retirement living.  One of the great benefits of moving to Kirkbrae is the relinquishing of responsibility for the ‘bricks and mortar’ and surrounding grounds so that your leisure time is freed up to spend as you wish. Choose a home that suits your lifestyle and budget, utilising our support services as your interests and needs change.   Continue to welcome family and friends into your home, take advantage of our community facilities, become involved in our extensive social activities – the choice is yours!  Moving to Kirkbrae provides an extension of your current lifestyle, enabling you to continue engaging in your current interests with the possibility to explore, or extend to new ones whilst knowing your home is secure and maintained at Kirkbrae.

Our traditional units offer accommodation for couples and singles wanting modest and affordable accommodation.  If downsizing is important for you, these affordable units provide plenty of space to live in, with a welcoming comfortable style.

Inspiring new homes are now under construction and will provide a contemporary style of living set in the beautiful surrounds of our community.  With a spacious, modern design and extremely well appointed, they provide comfort and security.

Refer to our “New Development” page for further information.

Enjoy retirement and let us take care of the work!

Q&A's

1What are the advantages of living at Kirkbrae?

Your home at Kirkbrae is surrounded with likeminded neighbours, living comfortably in this community, enjoying lots of space in our gardens, unobtrusive safety and security features and the support and care of our experienced staff.  Kirkbrae provides continuing care as your needs change which means that you can live in this community for life.

2Is Kirkbrae close to shops and medical services?

Yes.  Supermarkets and a range of other shops and medical services are nearby and the local bus service stops directly outside Kirkbrae’s front gate. For those in need of a little support for these trips, the Kirkbrae community buses make regular and special shopping trips.

3I enjoy social activities with others as well as my own interests. How private is retirement living at Kirkbrae?

Your home is your own to enjoy and to share as little, or as much as you like. Kirkbrae’s retirement homes are designed with their own separate access, with their own views, gardens and as much privacy as you need.  Common areas such as our Community Centre, are available for use by residents and their friends and families.

4If I need nursing or lifestyle support, is there an aged care facility?

Along with Retirement Living, Kirkbrae has private and shared rooms available in our fully Accredited Nursing Home. As resident’s care needs increase, we assist in the transition from retirement living to living in our residential care home.  For people who have lived elsewhere, but now need nursing care, our residential care home can facilitate this transition from their current home or direct from hospital.
