With over 50 years of experience in operating and developing a seniors’ community, Kirkbrae has highly refined systems, qualified and experienced staff, and a culture that supports and cares for residents – as if they were our family members. Our staff are passionate about compassionate care.

Kirkbrae’s staff have shared the journey with many people as they have made their transition to a seniors living community. They are here to assist and support you as you make Kirkbrae your new home. We believe that people want to maintain their independence and make decisions about how they live. Evidence indicates that people living independently are more likely to remain healthier and happier, mobile and active. Healthier in body and mind, living life to the full. As changes occur, Kirkbrae can assist in providing support and care services to maintain your independent lifestyle. For those who may eventually need a higher level of care, the transition to residential care is facilitated by our staff.

Kirkbrae specialises in working with residents and their families to ensure that their quality of life is paramount. Residents needing full time care services in residential care need specialist care by highly trained and experienced care staff. Kirkbrae offers services for individuals and couples, for permanent or respite care. Health care needs for older people can be complex and constant. Our residential care service provides 24x7 care for people with dementia, stroke, vascular and physical health issues, and sometimes a combination of them. We do not define people by their health status, but by who they are in their entirety. Holistic care means that we care for all aspects of a person’s life. Kirkbrae’s care is for the person’s clinical, physical, emotional, social and spiritual health.  Residents continue to have a meaningful life, every day, supported by our team of caring staff.

Residents and their families may face challenges about life. Spiritual care is about journeying with you as you face challenges, about dealing with an uncertain future, and about rejoicing in lives lived well. Kirkbrae’s Pastoral Care Unit provides spiritual, emotional and religious care for our residents and their families. When significant decisions are about the quality of life, we are here to support you when needed.
