Kirkbrae Retirement Village, set in 15 beautiful park like acres of trees and gardens, offers facilities for independent living, hostel and nursing home accommodation.
The Village is ideally located in Kilsyth, just one hours' drive from Melbourne, yet with a country atmosphere, nestling in the foothills of the Dandenongs.
Kirkbrae is a friendly, caring Christian community managed by the Social Services Committee of the Presbyterian Church of Victoria.

The independent living in the Kirkbrae Village comprise of one and two bedroom cottages with enclosed verandahs. Residents do not need to be pensioners, but need to be of pensionable age or have special needs. Facilities include a kitchen, bathroom, lounge, gas space heater and/or reverse cycle air conditioner and a telephone point. Some meals can be purchased by residents at the hostel dining room. Mail arrives daily to personal letterboxes. There is a community hall with a lounge room and library, the hall also holds church services and community activities. In the gardens there is a Barbeque picnic area beside a water feature and a recreational area with a gazebo.
The 50 bed hostel is centrally located and includes a respite room. Staff are on duty 24 hours a day and include a full time physiotherapist and various lifestyle staff, a visiting hairdresser and podiatrist. Residents can choose their own doctor.
There are 19 single rooms with ensuites on the upper floor of the hostel, with a further 31 beds available in another wing.

Entry into the hostel is subject to both a medical and financial assessment, based on the Commonwealth Government guidelines and regulations. Residents pay daily fees and may be required to pay a bond. Respite care is available for residents with the appropriate aged care assessment.
The Kirkbrae Nursing Home has 60 beds. Nursing home staff are on duty 24 hours a day seven days a week. Dining room and lounge facilities are available and there are numerous meeting areas and rooms for visitors. The lifestyle team has developed an activities program suitable for nursing home residents, including outings and regular visits from volunteer groups.
In addition to daily fees, residents entering the nursing home may be required to pay a daily accommodation charge in accordance with Commonwealth Government guidelines and regulations.
